DESIGN ENGINEER – SANITARY/PLUMBING & FIRE PROTECTION

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares building sanitary/plumbing and fire protection design, analysis and calculations.
2. Prepares complete building sanitary/plumbing and fire protection system design in compliance with NFPA, Local Codes and other Codes that the project requires.
3. Prepares fire and life safety assessment report (FALAR).
4. Prepares working drawings and construction plans.
5. Coordinates our design with the Client, Project Directors (Client’s side), Architects, other Engineers, Contractors and Suppliers.
6. Represents the company in weekly regular meetings with Client, Project Directors (Client’s Side), and Architects, other Engineers, Contractors, Suppliers and project staffs at site.
7. Ensures proper resolution to design problems or conflicts with actual site condition.
8. Ensures proper implementation of material technical specifications for sanitary/plumbing and fire protection system as well as the equipment schedule for the system.
9. Conducts technical evaluation of bid documents submitted by the Contractors/Suppliers based on scope of work.
10. Evaluates shop drawings, queries and letters.
11. Serve as Quality Advisor and Consultant for CAD Operators
12. Reports and coordinates with his Senior Engineer on job assignment, project details and status.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Sanitary), Engineering (Environmental), Engineering (Mechanical), Architecture or equivalent, preferably with Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) but not required.
2. Computer literate.
3. Knowledgeable in MS Office applications and Computerized Drafting Softwares.
4. Knowledgeable of Sanitary/Plumbing and Fire Protection Design Analysis Softwares.
5. Must possess good communication skills in both oral and written.
6. Writing and Speaking in Chinese is an advantage but not required.
7. Must have a pleasing personality.
8. Must be with good interpersonal skills and a team player.
9. Must be with good moral character and professional attitude on work.
10. Willing to be assigned in the Office (Mandaluyong City) or at Project Site.
